Krisstof, 26/10/2011Just logged on to your Website, the first time since I moved to the U.S. It's sad to read of the passing of Drew. An old friend and mentor, who taught me to play the flute, read music and encouraged me throughout my time with the No Surrenders, William Kings and The Churchills. He will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by many.
Davy Mitchell, 15/10/2011A true stalwart of Walker parent club and a true friend of all walker branch clubs in Scotland, Sadly missed

wkmfb, 02/10/2011Lads Thanks for the respect you have shown my Father and my Grandfather. Im sure my Granda appreciated your respect both during his wake (our Conductor) and the respect paid as he was laid to rest.
Scott Porter, 17/09/2011Drewsie, our conductor, musical director, but most of all our friend. Simply the best. John Rankin (Chairman)
John Rankin (Chairman), 17/09/2011A few days now after wee drew has sadly passed away and I have so many memory's of drew one that stands out for me and always make me smile is the bands trip to glasgow last year with the band on the day of the parade sun was beating down must have been 20 plus degrees and band members were dropping like flies with cramp and exhaustion not mentioning any names spencer Boydo PAUL,and to my true amazement when we finally got to the top of the hill after 2 hours of marching at the field there was wee drew still playing away.
kings, 13/09/2011Quite a few tears were shed today in the Fountain, St Augustines Church and Altnagelvin Cemetary. All for a wee man that we will always owe a depth of respect and graditude towards. He was an amazing ambassador for the people of the Fountain, the Churchill Flute Band and the William King Memorial Flute Band. I am sure at times he must have wondered what he had let himself in for, in teaching and conducting the King’s all those years ago and right up until recently, but he persevered with us and I hope that showed with the turn out from the Fountain Band today who turned up today to say “ Cheerio and Thank You, Drew”
Hugh Smy, 11/09/2011Very saddened to hear of Drew's passing. I will miss his happy face at future band days.
