The latest update to the site now includes some video footage of the band, including footage from Ballymacarett Defenders previous two contests, and more recently, from the Black Skull contest in 2007.
Ballymacarett Defenders Indoor Melody Contest 2005
As part of the Ballymacarett Defenders 70th anniversary celebrations in 2005, they held an indoor melody contest. The band were determined to take part in, and support the Ballymacarett with this. During this time, we had been practising and working towards our Death or Glory CD, which we believe helped us play to a high standard on the day.
Ballymacarett Defenders Indoor Melody Contest 2006
Following the success of the previous years contest, the Ballymacaretts held another contest. As well as having many good friends in the Ballymacaretts, the band fully enjoyed the previous years contest and wanted to again take part and enjoy the contest. This has now become an annual contest which is always an enjoyable day.
