Below are a few additional photos from the 12th July celebrations which were held in Coleraine.
Dunloy Accordian Parade
We travelled to Ballymoney to take part in the Dunloy Accordian parade. This is a parade which is now one of the highlights of the year, and this year was no exception. Reports of 86 bands plus turned out to support Dunloy, as well as a huge number of spectators, which shows how highly the band are thought of throughout the country as well as mainland UK. An excellent band. Below is a clip of us from that parade.
ABOD Parade 2008 As always, the band enjoyed the annual Apprentice Boys of Derry parade, with another excellent turn out of bands and spectators. The highlights of the parade were marching our city walls, playing in Bishop Street, The Fountain estate, and the mass band, which this year not only included ourselves and Black Skull Corps of Drums, but members from Churchill FB, Star of the Roe, and the Hamilton FB. We also made a little change to our Shanghai display to include Star of County Down, instead of Lilio. There are a few links below which will take you to the site and the clips.
Burntollet Sons of Ulster Flute Band Parade The Wednesday after the ABOD celebrations, the band took parade in BSOUFB's parade. We had the honour of leading the parade, and were proud to support a local band who have experienced a lot of opposition to their parade, therefore, it was great to see a number of bands and large crowds supporting Burntollet Sons of Ulster.WKMFB at Dunloy 2008 - Galanthia
