As well as being a marching band, The William King Memorial Flute Band have become well known for their outstanding record in contests and competitions.

The band have worked hard to reach their high standard, which requires a lot of practice and dedication from its members.

The band also recognise and greatly appreciate the help and guidance of their conductor of many years, Mr. Drew Porter, who has helped the band reach their high standard through his tireless efforts and help.
